Google Answers dead – thank goodness for BitWine!

It’s being reported everywhere, but all I can say is “Thank Goodness for a bit of wine just in time — that would be BitWine!”

I founded and launched Knexa (KNowledge EXchange Auction) in 1999, the world’s first knowledge auction. I followed Google Answers with interest, but felt it would fail because 1)there was no ability for authors of answers to generate “royalty” incomes from their answers as the answers were made public upon delivery and 2)the bidding system was flawed because there was no way for a “seller” to start an auction. It was demand based only.

Knexa did not take off back then but it will rise again. The pay for knowledge rhelm is still up for grabs. Ultimately, the Internet itself is flawed and is doomed to a future and an entertainment medium only, unless creators of content are both paid and peer reviewed for quality.
