eBay To Acquire TenCent Holdings, Rebtel

Just read that eBay is about to acquire TenCent holdings which is the Chinese #1 IM service QQ Messenger. Read more here, as this blogger says they are in the fifth round of negotiations. Looks like the path to China with eBay isn’t clear yet.

Rebtel looks to be a company, from what I read similiar to Skype that was started out of Sweden and Luxembourg. The above information is all Technically Speaking, and I haven’t even hit TechCrunch yet!

  1. I think you should do a review on SkyPe…I like it, you and I have used it. I would like to hear from others on their thoughts on SkyPe and how some people might use Skype to do Podcasting interviews…and how to overcome the fact that about 80% of the internet population is using wireless equipment that does not work very well on SkyPe…how are others dealing with the wireless problems and is SkyPe going to deal with it? That is Technically Speaking..
