*Breaking* James Kim body found

 MERLIN, Ore. (AP) – The body of James Kim of San Francisco was found in the Oregon’s Coast Range on Wednesday, authorities said.

The 35-year-old had been missing since Nov. 25 after a family holiday in the Pacific Northwest. His wife and two children were rescued on Monday.

No one gives up, No one gives in – James Kim Search Continues

When a company loans out their satellite to take a clear shot for you, when every agency in probably 500 square miles, and when people are working around the clock – you should know by now – “No one has given up, No One is giving in” – Everyone in southwest Oregon is helping out.

Oregon State Police said a helicopter crew spotted 30-year-old Kati Kim on Monday about 1:45 p.m. near the Rogue River in the area of Bear Camp Viewpoint off Bear Camp Road.

They also said they found daughters four-year-old Penelope and seven-month-old Sabine alive. They were airlifted to a hospital in Grants Pass. There was no word on their condition, but OSP Lieutenant Gregg Hastings said reports were encouraging. The family stayed warm by running the car until they ran out of gas, then they burned tires, deputies said.

Rescuers continued to look for 35-year-old father, James Kim. There were indications he left on snowshoes two days ago police said. Kay Fristad with the Oregon National Guard said a helicopter equipped with an infrared camera will be used in that search.

Josephine County Under-sheriff Brian Anderson told reporters Monday afternoon that a helicopter had airlifted Kati Kim and her two young daughters to an area hospital. CNET Editor James Kim apparently left his family two days ago on snowshoes to seek help. Video

12/4/06 – 3:15pm – Kati Kim and her two girls have been found, they are being helicoptered out to a hospital. James Kim went out on foot two days ago and the Search and Rescue team are now tracking him and hope to find him soon.

12/4/06 – 2:15pm – The authorities have intensified their search efforts in the wilderness areas west of the Glendale area. They have setup a mobile command relay post in the Glendale area. Local residents in the area offering amazing support – Image 1 – Image 2. The press conference at 3pm is in Grants Pass, OR and will be streamed live from Cnet.com. Our spirits are high here in Oakland and we are very appreciative of the efforts being put out by the Oregon State officials. The lastest news from this site, which seems to have the most updated information as well as some nice pictures of the family, says that search parties are out right now. Family and friends from all over have come in to help with the search.

12/3/06 – 7:30am – Search parties are setting out again this morning. State and Federal authorities are continuing their search. Family and friends of the Kim Family working from the Grants Pass area of Oregon are coordinating their own efforts. Friends of the family from New York, San Francisco bay area, Portland, Eugene and the local area are in Oregon now and helping the Kim family effort. We have received so many wonderful notes and so many offers of help – it has really been keeping us going here. I have passed on a selection of emails to members of both James and Kati’s families, and they are so appreciative of the outpouring of love and support that you continue to give.

*UPDATE* KATU 2 News — New Clues surface on James Kim Family

This just came across from KATU 2 News from Portland, Oregon. Here is a bit of what the article said.

Along the way, the family stopped at a Denny’s restaurant in Roseburg about 8 p.m., authorities said. They had called the lodge to have a key left for them because they planned to arrive late.

But the family never picked up the key or checked in, police have said.

“We don’t have any indication of foul play,” said Sgt. Roger Loomis of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. “They were in Roseburg, they had dinner and they left and that’s about the only information we have right now.”  

As of right now, that is the latest news on the James Kim Family who have been missing since Saturday 11/25/2006.
