Yahoo acquires Bix

Yahoo has aquired Bix. You can read their message about the signing here. The CEO Mike Speiser from Bix gets to take over the Yahoo groups, 360, and photos now under the title of VP of Community. Speiser was the former founder of Epinions.
It appears that Bix had a great strategy, and being that this 16 person company only started back in January, and went live in August – I will say that everyone made some money quickly. Bix is not going away. They are all just moving to Sunnyvale, and will continue to operate and grow under the Yahoo umbrella.
