Preezo is another site that is jumping in to get their application online out there. It’s a PowerPoint clone, and from what TechCrunch is saying is that it is rather nice. I see an onslaught of these application companies, most of course will be decent and allot will probably be snatched up by Google and Yahoo in the coming year.
TechCrunch was contacted by a site called BigJock.com. They are a social networking site for men who love men. TechCrunch did the research, and apparantly there are like 8 top sites out there already in the men who love men social networking arena.
Yes, the new podcast is up online - 7 Minutes with Rex Dixon - 10/11/2006. I enjoy comments, and loved the one on on the 10/9/2006 podcast - simply the comment was - “wtf?” — well the F is that I was having FUN, and the T is $1.65 Billion is ALLOT of money, and the W is “Why would you spend that much money on something that is basically a copyright infringing activity; ie.. see Napster (the original)!“
Technically Speaking, I’m listening to a great podcast right now - check it out here - Independent World.

Now my first thought is - “Why in the heck did they ever bother to break up MaBell back in the 70’s?” Looks like AT&T and Bell South - the merger - has been approved by the DOJ. The funniest line in the article of course was where it says quote: “Both AT&T and BellSouth rushed to praise the DoJ decision.” unquote. Of course they do! Was that line even necessary? I mean seriously, DOJ just probably made some nice cash on the side. No I didn’t just say that. You the reader are imagining things .. so — go —> Read the article!
Those really cool hand crank with no HD laptops - called 2B1 - are being snatched up to the tune of $250 million for like 1 million of them. Sending them over to Libya!
Well since this morning’s rush to get the office applications out there today; first one on the block style. It’s been kind of slow.
Rex Dixon of course has his invite to check out ZohoX -(before you ask - NO, Wallop has never sent Rex Dixon an invite!!!) and I will have to say so far, I am impressed by it. I only tooled around for about 10 minutes after receiving my login information. What I have seen so far looks really really TIGHT! More on this later, you know - Technically Speaking - this would make a good podcast topic for this evening’s podcast - 7 Minutes with Rex Dixon.

InfoSpace appears to be headed down the drain. They lost a major cell carrier contract. According to this article it appears that starting 3rd qtr 2006 (hmm.. that is NOW) into 2007 there will be around 250 layed off. Bum deal, but that’s the dot com biz for ya; Technically Speaking ya know?

Coghead - has their public launch of their visual app building service. From my quick view of this before I have to head out the door, it looks to be Access on the web. Technically Speaking it has been a good week for online application releases!
