StashSpace is going to launch on Wednesday. What is it? It’s somewhere you can edit your movies in a browser. Should be interesting, and you can read about it here in the full article on TechCrunch.
You think big brother is watching you at work? Wait until Hitachi unveils its AirLocation Tag-w this week at the CEATEC expo. Now they (your work) can track you in the bathroom, at lunch, at the store (during work hours!), etc.
Yes, the Engadget people have done it again. They have a real picture of a real working Sony PS3. Now I am still wondering, you know Technically Speaking, when the public will get to buy one? Rex Dixon of course wouldn’t mind Sony sending one my way for review purposes!

Maybe this will help the peace process there. Maybe the people that are killing each other daily, will just get online. Maybe… Technically Speaking the youth and the future of Iraq needs to be online, and not in the line of fire.

Citywide WIFI is big business these days. Reading the latest article on GigaOm.com about Belair Networks, as well as the significant funding that has been ventured out this year alone, makes you wonder when others will jump on board. Hit it while the fire is hot!
Now for the group of people out there that qualify in the next category – Young Execs Raising Kids - you really need to take a read of the above article. Remember, I say take a read – and I mean it – because Technically Speaking, I’m a non-golfer who is saying that this Business Golf stuff is good business. No, let Rex Dixon re-phrase that — This could potentially be for – *YOU* – the reader - this could be a GREAT BUSINESS decision!

Google just bought the garage where it all started for them. I guess you could say it’s another Silicon Valley landmark; the same as HP’s 1938 garage, and Apple’s 1970’s garage.
Costumzee is a site that just relaunched over the summer with all the web 2.0 trimmings over the summer. Looks like it received a nice write up today on Search Engine Watch. Halloween is right around the corner, and if you are looking for a costume, you may want to give it a go.
Netflix is apparantly holding a $1 million contest or should I say is offering a $1 million prize to someone that can help improve their recommendation engine. This was originally reported in the New York Times.
The article goes on to talk about Netflix should be looking at MovieTally a tag-based recommendation site built by a 15 year old New York built by Hayden. Just wondering out loud now, I wonder how many millions this 15 year old will have very soon; you know Technically Speaking that is!

Engadget is on top of things this morning! This bodes well as I need a new Sprint phone like very soon. With the bad press on the Fusic which I was looking at getting; Technically Speaking this couldn’t come at a better time. Now I just need them (Sprint) to send me one to review!

Engadget is a great site to see the latest cool hardware items. This morning they have a picture of the new Zune and an IPod side by side. They are updated just about as much as GigaOm.com and TechCrunch.com is; sometimes even more!
I guess Om got a little sentimental in his latest post about his local people back home. What he says though is so true. When you think about it, how many of the people that YOU grew up with know much about everything that is “2.0“?
PayPerPost is another one of the latest startups to get funding -or- “More money, Lot’s more Money!” as I call it! Read the complete TechCrunch article here on who they are as well as how much money they are getting!
TechCrunch goes into depth about Deep Tagging in this one. I tried messing around with that a bit, but truthfully, I’d rather just let content speak for itself. Yes, most if not all of my posts are scraped from the good sites that have writers, staff, and well most are full time professional bloggers. Rex Dixon is like Avis; trying harder!
This is a sad story to end today’s first blog posting on, but the teenager who was the first person (as well as family) to get the VeriChip implanted, died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday. The guy sounded like he had a heck of a future in front of him. Derek Jacobs was only 18.
It’s Monday readers, and Technically Speaking I am hoping the news gets better from here on out!
